Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Modelling and Design: Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business objectives and support data-driven decision-making. Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Data Integration and Management: Design and implement data integration solutions to facilitate the seamless flow of data between disparate systems and platforms. Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
  • Database Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of databases to support high-performance, real-time data processing and analytics. Monitor database health, performance, and scalability, and implement measures to mitigate risks and optimize performance.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data management, analytics, and cloud computing. Evaluate new tools and platforms to enhance our data architecture and drive innovation across the organisation.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and software engineers, to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet stakeholder needs. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive adoption of data architecture solutions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications, to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer. Share best practices and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong background in data modelling, database design, and data integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
